What does a Mortuary Technician do?

A Mortuary Technician assists the Pathologist in performing autopsies. It is the responsibility of the technician to ensure that all equipment is clean and orderly. The technician oversees the admission to and release of bodies in the Mortuary.

What qualifications and experience does the hospital require?

• Certificate/Diploma in Mortuary Technology and Hygiene from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years postgraduate clinical experience.
